How it all started
My daughter and I began praying together using a sheet of paper tacked to the wall where she placed one sticker for each prayer. She enjoyed seeing her prayers grow into fun and creative designs. Sometimes we even invented tunes to sing the prayers. Our interactive approach to prayer evolved into these interactive prayer activities. We are happy to share them with you, to help you engage your students in the classroom during prayer and to promote prayer within your families through this beautiful expression of our faith! My daughter and I prayed with stickers well into her teen years!
Affirmation
The Pray_Every_Day® prayer activites and materials available here have received a blessing from Pope Francis in August 2017.
In a NutshellExplore the Program
The program offers six levels of interactive activities for children from elementary school through highschool! The materials begin with the prayers of the holy Rosary, rosary patterns, and stickers and move into dialoging with God while exploring four core attributes of prayer expressed in the Our Father. These four attributes are outlined in the ARMI® prayer model: Acknowledge God, Return to God, Move towards God, and Invite God.
At Level 1, children begin with the sticker-based Learn the Rosary® Classroom Poster Kit, offering an interactive way for children to practice the prayers of the Rosary using patterns created by a collection of small images. Praying the rosary is an important part of every childs preparation for the sacraments and is a foundational element of every Catholic's life of prayer.
Each new level introduces different aspects of prayer, culminating in the prayer journal where the four core attributes of prayer combined with two important bookends are are placed into the context of an individual time of prayer. Lessons in Level 6 include illustrating how we express these aspects of prayer in the Mass and how the psalmists express themselves in these forms. Teens are encouraged to move towards journaling daily and deepening their foundation of prayer and faith as they continue praying the Rosary and using the Lord's Prayer as a model for every day dialog with our Lord.
Pray with your children daily and remember to bless them every time they leave the house and every night before they go to sleep and pray for them throughout the day.
